Carlos Santana fell ill during a performance in Michigan on Tuesday night (July 5)

An on-stage accident occurred at Pine Knob Music Theatre (formerly DTE Energy Music Theatre), an outdoor amphitheatre located about 40 miles northwest of Detroit, according to multiple reports from the scene.

A tweet from Billboard's Gary Graff at around 10 p.m. ET stated that Santana was "being treated as we speak."

According to Roop Raj, a Fox2 Detroit evening anchor and reporter, Santana is receiving medical treatment. "Medical personnel are present on the stage of the performance. 'Serious medical' issue was brought up by the crowd,' he writes.

On October 37th, Graff tweeted an update. In the 20 minutes since he collapsed, Carlos Santana has been carried off stage on a stretcher at Pine Knob Music. He waved as they rolled him off, so we don't know his condition yet.Graff tweeted that Santana had been taken to the hospital in a follow-up tweet. However, we don't know how he's doing right now.

Representative Michael Vrionis says that Santana was rushed to McLaren Clarkston's emergency department because of heat exhaustion and dehydration. According to reports, the veteran artist is doing well.

Currently on tour in support of his 26th studio album, 2021's Blessings and Miracles, the 74-year-old musician is embarking on his Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour: Santana + Earth, Wind & Fire, his first under a record deal with BMG.

S&T Bank Music Park in Burgettstown, PA, where he was scheduled to perform on Wednesday, has rescheduled the show for a later date.Santana, widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, has racked up a record-tying nine Grammys for his 1999 album Supernatural, which earned him ten Grammys and three Latin Grammys.

Among his many honours are the Billboard Century Award (1996), the Billboard Latin Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award (2009), the Kennedy Center Honors Award (2013), and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. (1998).
